Hair testing is a very accurate way to test for drug use, and provides employers with a method to look for drug use over a longer period of time than with traditional urine based tests.  Each half inch of hair provides about a 30 day history of drug use detection. Since the standard testing length is one and a half inches, this provides a way to accurately check for abuse of drugs over roughly 90 days.  In addition, hair testing is nearly impossible to cheat which has made it very popular with employers, particularly for pre-employment testing.

In the event that a donor does not have head hair, our technicians can collect body hair from the arms, legs, chest or underarms.
